"He looks as a mountain that wades in the sea and has its head above the clouds and is clad in Ice and crowned with smoke and fire: and the light of the eyes of Melkor was like flame that withers with heat and pierces with a deadly cold." (The Silmarillion, By: J.R.R. Tolkien)
This is the last version I am going to do. So which one is your favorite?. This picture was created using entirely Photoshop CS. I would greatly appreciate any advanced critique you could possibly give. This version features the Fire and Ice effects. the hammer , the shield and the silmarils.
The Tengwar on his armor is mbelekuuro. which is the original name that Tolkien came up with for melkor. The Tengwar by his hands is Kuul and Ghash which translates to Ice and Fire from blackspeech.
upon his brow sits a crown of iron and in it are three of the silmarils.
It is my opinion that Since Melkor is a Valar he had the power to change his shape at will, this means he can also summon his weapons out of nowhere. The book talks about his hammer Grond, and he has it before and after he was captured. also he fights with a huge hammer, a large shield and a large sword all in the same battle.

background photo was taken by Karezoid [link] the photo is called the "misty mountain"
Tengwar script was designed by J.R.R. Tolkien, the Character of Melkor was designed by J.R.R. Tolkien
Incredible sir! I'm very much impressed. I'd love to see other images you can dig from your mind regarding some of the other undrawn characters of middle earth.
Of course, I shall do that. I love the tolkien mythos, and the characters are quite inspiring. Rest assured I will eventually draw my vision of each of the valar, amongst other characters.
